Venus in Virgo in the Fifth House

The placement of Venus in Virgo indicates a need to be discriminating in your relații. A propensity to examine your values is also indicated. This often manifests as a need for perfection, either in your relationship(s) or in what you find yourself attracted to. Much of the behavior and many of the personality characteristics associated with Venus in Virgo are a result of this need to feel that everything is perfect or that everything is under control.

The Venus in Virgo placement is generally a comfortable one for the Venus-associated functions. This is symbolized by the natural trine between Virgo and Venus-ruled Taurus. However, the natural semi-sextile between Virgo and Libra, which is also ruled by Venus, indicates some opportunity for tension in the placement. Virgo is the Mutable Earth sign. The Venusian energy is symbolically constrained or channeled by the structured energy associated with Virgo’s earth element expression. Positively, the changeable earth element forms successive filters for the Venusian functions to operate through. Having Venus in Virgo, this filtering promotes the discriminating faculty so important in values formation and judgment. Thus, the value-forming and appreciating functions symbolized by Venus tend to be more pronounced in your psyche and personality than is the case for most people.

Venus also symbolizes the anima in the psyche. Thus, if you are female with Venus in Virgo, you are likely to model your femininity to incorporate characteristics typically associated with Virgo. If you are male, you are likely to be attracted to someone who projects or embodies Virgo-associated traits.

Insecurități

With Venus in Virgo, if you are insecure in your own selfhood, you require everything and everyone around you to exhibit the perfection that you know you are lacking in yourself.  If you would only see perfection reflected around you, you may be able to forget your own inadequacies. However, having Venus in Virgo, no one and nothing measures up to your high standards of perfection, and therefore a perpetual state of dissatisfaction exists for you. This is accompanied by a constant anxiety over the disappointments that an imperfect world will inevitably provide. Thus, you go through life, worrying, fretting and criticizing and never enjoying or appreciating anything.

Venus in the 5th House:

With Venus in the 5th House you are likely to enjoy a robust and expressive sense of beauty and relație. The 5th House affords the Venusian function a chance to fully develop in elaborate fashion. Here, Venus’ energy can be completely expressed and developed to its mature potential. In the 5th House, your evaluation of your sense inputs and your awareness of and involvement in relationship become self-conscious, but in a fresh and innocent way. Having Venus in the 5th House, you not only become concerned with how you value and relate to your physical and social environment, but with what you can do with the Venusian function to embellish your persona. This involves a certain amount of awareness of how others perceive and validate your tastes and judgment and your way of relating. You will generally endeavor to display your most positive side in these matters, perhaps hiding your shadow to avoid disapproval.

As an individual with Venus in the 5th House, you can be expected to express your sense of beauty and form. Whatever your tastes, especially in the arts, music, drama, poetry, etc., these should be evident to those who know you, for they will be expressed. If you have any talent in these areas, you will probably try your hand at artistic creativity. Having Venus in the 5th House, you will at least wish you could express yourself creatively and will likely appreciate those who do.  You are also not likely to be shy about expressing your opinions about what you dislike or find ugly.

Insecurități

With Venus in the 5th House, if you are inwardly insecure, you will be unwilling to surrender yourself to another, or to purify your values so that they are selfless. This will lead you to hold back your self-expression. The values that you do express will be false and superficial. Your sense of beauty will be flawed by selfishness and your taste will be for show only – an attempt to gain others’ approval. Overcompensating for your insecurity, you may be vociferous in expressing your likes and dislikes but you care neither for the sensitivities of others nor for your own true affections.

In relationships, with Venus in the 5th House, you will hold yourself back, fearful that what you express may be rejected. Out of timidity, you may also fail to express your tastes and preferences. You may therefore appear to others to be a shallow personality, without passion, without a sense of yourself and without much to give in a relationship.

As an individual with Venus in the 5th House, your evaluative and judgmental function is focused in the creative arena.  For this reason, you may have a well-developed (or at least pronounced) sense of artistic taste. You are likely to be particularly appreciative of the artistic expression of form, beauty and harmony. In fact, more than others, you are likely to be sensitive to the form inherent in a work of art.

Having Venus in the 5th House, you may also be very focused on expressing your judgment and taste. You are likely to make known to others what your likes or dislikes may be. This may be done directly (verbally) or indirectly through an open (sometimes ostentatious)  display of taste.
