The Heart's Desire 4 – What Drives this Ever-Lasting Builder?

Your Heart’s Desire number, also known as your Soul Urge or Soul Desire, indicates what motivates you down deep into your core. This is the number that reveals to you what drives you from a soul-level.

This is a great number to know because it might explain some of those “irrational” thoughts and feelings you come up against – those feelings you just can’t explain, yet you feel with great intensity. How “surprising” they are to you will depend on how in alignment your Heart’s Desire number is with the rest of your Core Numbers.

Heart’s Desire 4

You have a deep need to create something of value that people can find beneficial in their day-to-day lives.

When you look deep into your soul, you have an underlying and pressing need to build something of lasting value – whether it’s a family of your own, a business, or other enterprise.  You’re all about stability and security.  You’re hardworking, can be a pillar of your community, and are immanently trustworthy. In fact, honesty and loyalty are two of your wonderful attributes.

Know that you have the potential to be a stellar marriage or business partner. Your heart’s desire revolves around being practical and hardworking.  You’re the systems-builder extraordinaire!  You’re the keeper of order and thrive on stability and security.  The number 4 also brings in certain family-related wounds that will be central to your decisions and actions in life.  Of course everyone has “family issues,” yet part of your particular soul’s calling is to come to terms and “heal” yours – often by providing a solid family environment or stable lifestyle that you didn’t feel you received during childhood.

Understand that – like all aspects of Numerology – this is a goal and as the Heart’s Desire this can feel as though it’s an underlying drive that you can’t explain – even to yourself.  Yet also understand that you’ll experience more focused and intense challenges on the path to mastering these particular aspects of your heart’s desire.

Some of the qualities you bring to the table are an insatiable thirst for knowledge and an innate talent for creating structure and organization in all aspects of life.

Some of your internal struggles might include rigidnessstubbornness, and a fear of taking risks.  You must find ways to expand your focus and take some calculated risks or you’ll experience frustration because you haven’t achieved what you know you could achieve.  The number 4 is all about coming to terms with limitations – working with them, understanding when you’ve created your own limitations, and working through and around whatever the perceived limitations might be in order to meet your goals.

You could avoid putting down roots, shy away from hard work, and avoid having a family of your own.  Sometimes you can become so self-sacrificing that you become the martyr or tyrant (“My way or the highway!”).  This stems from your need to control and also from your high level of expectation about your own performance—and the performance of others.

Down at your core, you desire outlets for managing, organizing, and creating a foundation from which to build your life or enterprise.  Think a little bigger.  Don’t succumb to seeing work as a necessary evil – since work is a huge part of the vibration of the 4 (it’s the number of hard work!) – you might find that it takes you a while to settle on a career that suits you.  Don’t settle for less than you feel passionate about.  Folks who have a 4 in their chart often either work really hard from early on in their lives or they are the proverbial “slackers” who take their sweet time before they realize that they feel much better when there’s a focused plan and commit to the work hard it takes to get the job done.  Make a concerted decision.  Put down roots.

With the 4 as your Heart’s Desire, this might be something only you can see or feel.  Or alternately, you may work with great tenacity, bask in checking off the goals on your punch-list, and revel in sharing your vast knowledge with others with great consistency.  It ultimately depends on the other numbers in your chart and how those energies mix and match with your steady and hard-working number 4.
