Stressed?

If you feel highly stressed and cortisol levels are up, diffuse ROSEMARY or inhale it.  Or add 7 drops to your favorite cream and massage on.  You might put 2 drops on your aromatherapy bracelet or necklace and pull it close when you need to inhale.

Bring down cortisol levels. The Journal of Phytotherapy Research (2014) found that inhalation of CLARY SAGE essential oil had the ability to reduce cortisol levels by 36 percent and improved thyroid hormone levels. The study was done on 22 post-menopausal women in their 50s, some of whom were diagnosed with depression. At the end of the trial, the researchers stated that “CLARY SAGE had a statistically significant effect on lowering cortisol and had an anti-depressant effect improving mood.”

LAVENDER is well known as a relaxant; it can help when you are stressed. Breathe it in deeply!

Nerve tonic

PETITGRAIN is famous as a nerve tonic (especially in France.) Soak in a bath (or soak feet at the end of the day) with 4-6 drops of PETITGRAIN. You can add 2 drops of LAVENDER if you wish! (French women love this!) Inhale whenever you feel the need.

Foot bath for stress

LEMONGRASS can be used in a bath or foot-bath to reduce stress.  If you need some revival, use EUCALYPTUS.

Foot massage

Nothing is more relaxing that a foot massage to help bring down stress. Add several drops of LAVENDER or CLARY SAGE to the foot cream and enjoy!
